steps to learn laravel for an codeigniter expert

I am expert in codeigniter(CI), but I have a project which I need to do in laravel. I want to know the comparison/mappings between CI and Laravel. Which will help me for quickstart.Like to put the helpers, view, model and controllers. And is php artisan commands are much more important for laravel to work in it or we can bypass it to save the time.
