laravel pivot table column not found while try to update

I am new to laravel.Least idea about pivot tables and laracast documentation makes a tangent to my brain.Problem is when I try to update book table, it shows error unknown column 'publisher'.I have book_publisher pivot table.. What code I have to write and where to write..Please specify..
