Handle many registration at one time with limit on registrants

I'm developing an app that get some data of events from api and users can register each event. Some events maybe have limitation on registrants. So if more than one user request to the same event at the same time for registering, how can I handle number of registrants and limitation on api?

NOTE: I wrote api with laravel.
