Need suggestion for my Laravel that handle multiple Codeigniter Sites

Now i already have two sites using Codeigniter. Both of them has same function (Different company & Databases). So what i want (In future), I create another website with Laravel (Because i want to learn too). This Laravel will become an Admin Site.

As an example this Admin Site can handle users. So the Admin Site will Choose the database and then do the process. Is it a good practice ? if it's good, what is the best approach. Should i save the database name in session or what ? thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english
