Send data from Controller to jQuery Plugin in Laravel 5?

I would like to know how to send data from a Controller to a jQuery plugin, specifically D3.js, i need to make some graphic reports, i think i have to use ajax to send the data, but if someone could make an example of send data from Laravel Controller to javascript it would be amazing.
