Laravel: fwrite(): send of 18 bytes failed with errno=10054 An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

I am trying to make the "forgot password" function work on Laravel. I am using mailtrap. it was working fine a couple of weeks ago but now it shows me this error that an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. please help
