what should know before learning vue js 2.0?

Its my first day in frontend development, but I know some basic of CSS and HTML only. I don't know Javascript, I should learn it first?. And what is the difference between Vue.js and Vue.js 2.0?

I'm working as LARAVEL backEnd developer since three month for that please suggest if you know which is better than Vue.JS for frontEnd.
